The cost of studying at a U.S University varies from $20,000 to more than $50,000 a year. This includes tuition fees, food , on campus housing and other living expenses.
However, the average expenses are as follows:
Tuition Expenses : 12000$- 15000$ annually
Living Expenses : 1000$ - 1200$ per month
Health Insurance : 1200-1400$ annually

However, I would say best is a relative term. A university may be best for one student and an average for another. So, it is not advisable to go by so-called ranking only. You should first make a list of own priorities, do a realistic self-assessment, and then do research so as to find out which colleges are best for you. While finding out which college is best for yourself, look for various factors like geographic location, ranking, tuition fees, chances of financial aid, placement record, diversity, research opportunities.
Before leaving for U.K, is there anything important that I need to take into account ?
You would find it less stressful if you plan their stay in UK more meticulously. For your own and your parents peace of mind, try to arrange your accommodation before you leave the country.
The type of accommodation available will depend on where you study: it may be halls of residence or a hostels, or lodging with a UK family. Living with a UK family is the most common option. You can take help from your school, college or university with finding an accommodation.
HI this is raju recently i have given toefl and i got only 66,is this score is enough to apply us universities and my gre score is 940,my educational background is pharmacy,do i get admission with these scores,and I need universities deadlines,when should i apply
The score is quite low. There are very low chances of getting admission into a good university.
Few average Universities have deadlines in the month of Feb/March for Fall session.
